This website is hosted by Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St., San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. Each time you open a page, Cloudflare's servers automatically process technical data: your IP address, the date and time of the request, the requested file, the referring page, the status code, and details about your browser and operating system.

This is necessary to deliver the website and to keep it secure and stable. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in a working and secure website). Cloudflare processes the data on my behalf under a data processing agreement. Because Cloudflare runs a global network, data may be processed outside the EU. Cloudflare is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and uses standard contractual clauses for such transfers.

In rare cases, such as connection errors, your browser may also send a technical error report to Cloudflare. More information is in Cloudflare's privacy policy.

This website does not use cookies, analytics, advertising or social media plugins. It does not load fonts, scripts or images from other servers: the typeface is hosted on this site itself. There are no forms and no accounts.

If you write to info@critical-north.com, I process your email address and the content of your message to answer you. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR if your message concerns a contract or a project, otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. I delete messages once the matter is settled, unless statutory retention periods apply (business correspondence is generally kept for up to six years).

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability (Art. 15 to 18 and 20 GDPR). You can object at any time to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21 GDPR). To exercise your rights, write to info@critical-north.com.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority, in particular the one responsible for my place of residence: the Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (Berliner Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit), Alt-Moabit 59-61, 10555 Berlin.
